Hello,

Please help me judge if the following sentences are ok.

1. When and where the new opera house will be built remains a mystery.
2. When and where the new opera house will be built remain a mystery.

Esp. whether the 2nd works. Maybe at the first glance it is not right. But somehow I think 2 can work as well.

Hello again Rabbit. They both work for me. (1) makes it sound like one big mystery; (2) makes it into two separate mysteries:)
