I'm translating a contract and I wonder how to translate this.
Here is the context : "if any provision of this contract shall be prohibited by a court..., such provision shall to the extent required be severed from this contract and rendered ineffective as far as possible..."
My turn is "ladite disposition doit être détachée du contrat et inefficace..." :(

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Found plenty of translations here :

For "technological protection measures" : rendue inopérante

...from which a machine guard or other safety device has been removed or rendered ineffective
...des matériaux dont un protecteur ou un dispositif de sécurité a été enlevé ou rendu inutile

But "rendu inopérant" dominates the 2 possibilities.

I came across that solution (inopérante) but I found it strange ;)
It may not be that strang though

    Thanks a lot :)
