Dear all

I recently heard someone say "Je rentre sur Angers pour le weekend". This seemed to me to mean I'm going back to Angers for the weekend, but I didn't understand why he said sur rather than à. Is there a different nuance to sur? Does it indicate the area around Angers rather than just the town?

Many thanks

maarri wants just know the difference between à Angers and sur Angers. There is no matter to know wether the sentence is correct or not.
Ok, there's no difference, other than between correct and not.
