Representing Foreign Accents

By making foreigners speak all in katakana. I've seen that in manga before.

Thanks, Captain Haddock. Do you mean just by using katakana with no sound changes?

Yeah. It's harder to read that way, in much the same way a harsh foreign accent is hard to listen to.
