I am taking some university courses, many of which have required readings (for example, a book or article that we have to read for the course). How would you say "required readings" in Chinese? 这门课有很多(许多?)必须阅读材料?

Thanks! :)

I personally hate it that many people translate 'materials' in this sense as '材料'.That sounds foreign. I know that 'hate' is a strong word, and I used it. But maybe I am in the minority.

'書目' is certainly more natural. I used another word simply because they are not necessarily books.
