Come si dice in inglese "risanare il bilancio" (o il risanamento del bilancio)? E' forse "to restore the budget"?

Si parla di bilancio di un ente pubblico. Stavo ad esempio pensando al fatto che in molte Regioni ci sono molti costi nella sanità, per cui molti enti (le Regioni) parlano di risanamento del bilancio.

The most colloquial to me would be "we need to get the budget back on track."

If you want a more formal phrase, then I would suggest King Crimson's "restore the budget to balance." It's fine, although... it reminds me of politicians.
