Rock Them

- I often sing some lullabies for my children and put them to sleep.
- I think ".......and rock them to sleep" is better, right?

If they are not actually being rocked it would not be correct to change the word. Rocking is an action.

You could change it to "I often sing lullabies to my children to help them fall asleep."
