What's the meaning of the proverb: Rome wasn't built in a day? Is it commonly used? Does it have a special story or myth in the general public?

    It's not at all unusual.

    It's something some people say to encourage people during work on a big project.

    It means 'Don't be downhearted. Large projects take time and you need to give this time to succeed'.

    It's a cliché.
