Hello everyone,

My text, related to the production of hearts of palm, to be translated to Spanish, reads:

"Providing farmers with inputs and training, and with rootstocks at cost"

I've considered using the Spanish terms 'esquejes' or 'cepas' but I would like a more precise term. I would appreciate suggestions.

graft rootstock = rizoma injertado

But this second one seems to be specifically viticulture, so the term may not apply to hearts of palm.

I found the same sites you sent me. Neither of those alternatives appears to convey the exact meaning.

Well, here's another one, where they use the term "patrones" for rootstocks and "injertos" for grafts.
