Rouse the beehive

- Yesterday a friend of mine was stung by some bees. I want to ask him if he did something to tease the beehive, in this context I may say these, corrrect?

"Did you tease the beehive?"
"Did you rouse the beehive?"

    I would probably use 'provoke' and I wouldn't use 'beehive', unless the actual hive is essential in the context.
    "Did you provoke the bees?"
    "Disturb" is an option.

    Did you disturb the bees/ the hive? Perhaps by kicking it.
