Rozstaniemy

I would probably use the future rather than the present tense: "chyba się rozstaniemy".

But it's a sensitive topic and "the best way" may depend on a zillion of factors. Is it going to be a warning? A threat? Is it already decided? Are you still considering? Are you anticipating the other side's decision? etc.

It's meant to be humous. My family and I are anxiously waiting for my boyfriend's return from PL. I want to add levity to the conversation by saying, chyba się rozstaniemy za tydzien po jego powrotu.

    Thanks.

„Chyba się rozstaniemy tydzień po jego powrocie (po kim, po czym - locative, not genitive)”.
