running true

Hi guys,

"The outer, physical events of life are the fruit of forgotten blossom-times — results of previous and usually forgotten states of consciousness. They are the ends running true to oft- times forgotten imaginative origins."

What does "running true to oft-times forgotten imaginative origins" mean?

Please rephrase this sentence to me: "running true to oft-times forgotten imaginative origins"

I'm lost in that piece that say "running true to oft-times"

Thank you very much!

"To run true" basically means "to correspond precisely." So you get:

They are the ends that correspond precisely to imaginative origins. These imaginative origins are often forgotten.
