French base sérieux

Dictionary entry: sérieux

Olivia Leigh

It seems to me we're missing a definition for "sérieux" as a noun. The sense I'm thinking of might be translated as something close to 'conscientiousness'.
"Cet élève a fait preuve d'un plus grand sérieux dans son travail cette année."
"This student has shown greater conscientiousness in his schoolwork this year."

Thank you for this suggestion. We do have an entry for sérieux as a noun, but I'm not sure the sense (gravité) lends itself to a translation of 'conscientiousness'. I'll pass this to our FR base to see if there's a sense that needs adding or if the definition for the current sense could be tweaked a little.
