Hi there, what is the correct form:

-I expected that my parents said yes.

-I expected that my parents say yes.

    I expected (past simple). Context: I am just telling someone I was waiting for my parents to say "yes" to any proposal I had offered them.

    All in the past:
    I expected my parents to say yes. But they didn't.
    I expected my parents to say yes. And they did.


    I expected that my parents would say yes. But they didn't.
    I expected that my parents would say yes. And they did.
