    I usually say "theatre," but this can be used for the structure of the building, as well as the room where the screen is. Usually, by the context of the conversation you can judge what the speaker is intending.

    Ex. We found excellent seats right in the middle of the theatre. (I'm in the room)
    As soon as we walked in the theatre, we went straight to the snack bar. (I'm not in the room yet)
