salimos de este proyecto habiendo aprendido los conceptos básicos

Hello

To say "Salimos de este proyecto habiendo aprendido los conceptos básicos" my guess is:

We walked out of this project having learned the basic concepts.

Is that correct? I have been suggested that I should use "has" instead of "having", but it sounds odd to me

Nota de moderación: por favor, recuerda que el título del hilo debe incluir la frase que quieres traducir y no tu intento (regla 3). Gracias. (JeSuisSnob, mod)

"We walked out" sounds as if we quit the project prematurely.
"We left this project" also, for me, suggests that we got out before the project was completed.
To avoid that implication, I'd say "We came out of this project having learned..."
