    Hi/ Salut:) !

    My try:

At the end of the performance, the actors come to curtain to bow / to receive (the) applause

Hearty applause welcomed his appearance at the end of the show

    Thanks for any help!

    Try "bow"

" ... come forward to take their bows."
    " ... his final bow."

    Thank you very much, Mgarizona.
Actually, in the second example, "final" in "salut final" refers to his bow at the end of the show, and not his last bow. The actor didn't come back for two or three sessions of bowing, because he was playing in a family setting to an audience of... one.
I should have made that clear from the start!
    Please excuse me.

So now, feeling wiser and more pondered, maybe I'll try
"Hearty applause welcomed his bow at the end of the show"
    or
"His bow at the end of the show was met with warm applause".

    Thanks again.
