Întrebarea mea este dacă este un joc de cuvinte, ținând cont că grit înseamnă „pietriș” și ”tărie de caracter”, sau este o expresie (pe care nu o găsesc pe nicăieri) al cărei sens necunoscându-l nu se înțelege nici de ce i-ar trebui „sand and grit to keep pushing on” pe lângă „stiff backbone”.

Nu-i de mirare pentru că rugozitatea la sandpaper (glaspapir/șmirghel) se definește ca grit number (sandpaper grit).
