Hi,

In a conversation with a friend, when I was trying to explain a point to him, but he just came up a good understanding about that already, so if I say:"Great! That just saved me a lot of words." - implying since he's already understood that, I don't have to explain it at all. Does the sentence sound natural and make sense at all?
