Hi again everyone,

I stumbled on a phrase. "According to experts in a few years unless they (hotels)_ are sold, they will be robbed, scaffolding visible only. "If a place is robbed off all its belongings, am I allowed to say that its scaffolding is what is left?

Thanks!!!

This text suggests to me a scenario where the hotels are under construction but not ready for formal hand-over to the buyer.
If they were to be left in this state for a long time then they could become a target for vandalism and theft of the fittings etc. which would result in just the fabric of the building and scaffolding in place.

    Does this help?
