Thank you for your message. What I've done for now is broadened the second sense, which I felt was too narrow. So the sense is now: relating to academic learning. I've also added a new sentence, as follows: This journal publishes scholarly articles.
@MünchnerFax, does that work for you? Or would it be better for you to have the sense subdivided into activities and texts or something similar?
