Hello: What is the meaning of "...scores an Express Entry candidate an additional 600 points for their profile!" in "this is called a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and scores an Express Entry candidate an additional 600 points for their profile!", which can be found in this link that talks about Canada’s Express Entry immigration system. Thank you!

"As well, certain provinces or territories may nominate select Express Entry candidates for immigration to their province. This is called a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and scores an Express Entry candidate an additional 600 points for their profile!"

Quote from your link: Express Entry uses a complicated points-based ranking system to select the most competitive candidates to become Canadian permanent residents. [ ..... ] Based on their profile, every candidate is assigned a score out of 1200 points.

It seems that if a province or territory selects one of these Express Entry candidates, they gain an extra 600 points.

However, it is not clear to me (from what I read so far ) whether these go towards making up the 1200 points or if it means that an exceptional candidate could earn 1800 points.

Edited to add "al" to exception
