Hi there lads! I came across a sentence that's rising some doubts. This is the original: (Hoy nuestros planteamientos sobre lo que denominamos el "regionalismo abierto" se acomodan a la tendencia de la globalización, así como ayer éstos eran funcionales a la industrialización.)

And this is my my sad attempt: (Our current course of action over what we call “open regionalism”, is adapted to the globalization trend present as it was before to industrialization.)
    What do you guys think?

    A less literal attempt:

... must take into account the trend towards globlization, just as in the past they were shaped by industrialization.

    Hola, Marvian

quizás también "meets the trend towards globalisation the same way it worked for industrialisation".
