Hola a todos!
por favor podría alguien decirme como puedo traducir "Disculpe por la demora en responder, pero se me traspapeló el mensaje".
Podría ser:
Sorry/I apologise for the delay in answering, but this message was mislayed or got mislayed
(en realidad estoy poniendo una excusa por no haber respondido antes a un mensaje :p !!)
any better suggestion?!

Thank you!!

Celeste, if you mean mislaid, please note the spelling. I suggest (and only think!) that "misplaced" preceded by "inadvertently" ;) may be more appropriate.

Yes Alwi, "inadvertently misplaced" will sound much better! (Why can't I think of writting in that way   )
    Thanks a lot!!! :D
PS: thank you also for your correction!

Yes, this is the most common way to say this. At least in the US, misplaced is more common than mislaid. Both are fine, though.
"I'm sorry for not responding earlier, but your message was inadvertently misplaced."
