comment dit-on seasonal tourism en Francais? I think this translation might be too literal.

Il y a encore quelques années, le tourisme à Lyon était saisonnier. Maintenant comme il y avait une augmentation dans le nombre de touristes qui prennnent les escapades citanes se passe passe tout l'année.

Many years ago tourism was seasonal, now as there has been an increase in the number of people who have city breaks it happens all year round.

For "tourisme saisonnier": it's ok. But the end of your translation is not understandable I fear
Try that perhaps: "Aujourd'hui, avec l'augmentation des city breaks, le tourisme existe à longueur d'année".
The pb is that I'm not sure of the way to say "city break" in French: maybe "pauses urbaines" or sthg like that? I know what it means, but I don't know if we have a term for that in French

Here is a proposal, Sunshine. I worked around the "city-break" term and used "courts séjours" instead.

"Le tourisme à Lyon était autrefois saisonnier. Aujourd'hui, il s'étale sur toute l'année, car le nombre de touristes (visiteurs) venant pour de courts séjours est en augmentation."
