    I am aware of no such word that is exclusive to chess. If a commentator said "Oooohh!, he left his rook open!", that would mean he left his rook vulnerable. Is that what you mean? If so, then open is the word for you. Open can mean open to attack in many different situations, including chess. I would not say that would be a clinical definition, but it is very common jargon.
