A friend of mine sends a picture of a cup of coffee she has just made it. Which verb is correct to be used?
It seems / sounds/ looks yummy.

Which do you think fits, eli7, considering the context?

I used "seems". I have no idea about the correctness of the other two options.

The correct answer is "looks" because you're referring to something you can see.

You could use "seems" if your friend had described the cup of coffee to you in words. "Sounds" is very similar to "seems" and is usually used in relation to experiences; it wouldn't go with "yummy".

    Greetings,

I just read this thread and now I'm confused. Some members have said that they won't use "look" for a written description. In my case, there was a photo send to me by mobile. Does it make such a difference?

No need to be. A written description is a description in words and not a photograph. See posts 4 and 6 of that thread where the difference has been referred to.
