semi à barre

Part of on-site regulations for a warehouse (specifically loading/unloading dock area).

"Le décrochage des remorques est interdit, sauf semi à barre ou autorisation spécifique."

I know a "semi" can be an articulated lorry (semi-remorque), but what about "à barre?"

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think this refers to a 'remorque à timon', i.e. a trailer fitted with a draught beam, which can thus be towed and oriented by a smaller vehicle.
