    Good evening to all!

Please, how can I say sentence completion in French? It's a type of test (or a part of an exam) where students are given a half of a sentence, and they are supposed to complete the sentence in a way that is most meaningful to them. (wikipedia)

Here's an example of a sentence completion question:

La musique permet d’exprimer des émotions par des sons ----.

    A) car la parole est intimement liée à la pensée
    B) si bien que l’expression orale représente un excellent moyen de partager ses idées
    C) alors que la peinture utilise les formes et les couleurs

The WRF dictionary gives: fin, achèvement, exécution for 'completion', but none of them fits, I think.

    Thanks in advance!

I think the expression you are looking for is "test de complètement de phrases".

If you make a search with "test de complètement de phrases Hermann Ebbinghaus", you will have a lot of examples.

Ah, complètement is the word I was looking for!
    Many thanks, Magonette. Excellent!
