This is from a medical diagnosis report where the results of a liver exam are described:

The sentence is as follows: senza visibilità di lesioni del tipo focale in atto.

I don't understand the "in atto" in the sentence above. Currently no lesions are visible?

    My suggestion is as follows: the term "in atto" may be translated as "current, ongoing, displayed".

    In your text "in atto" depends from "lesioni" so you have: "current/ongoing/displayed focal lesions".
