Hello amigos!

-I´m going on a blind date.
- You´re kidding, right?
-no, I´m serious, my sister set me up with one of her friends.

Could I use fixed me up with in substitution of this verb?

Thanks,

Sam:cool:

    Hi Sambisapt,

Although there is nothing wrong with set me up with, I'd be more inclined to say fixed me up with, as it does indeed imply a "coupling" of sorts, and set me up could meen that someone has set you up to play a trick on you, or to dupe you.
