Shall I use "is" or "are" here?

In these tow sentences:

There is/are no cat and dog in this house.
There is/are no cat or dog in this house.

Shall I use "is" or "are"? Thank you!

If your meaning is that the house contains zero dogs and the house contains zero cats, you say:

There are no cats or dogs in this house. (better)
There is no cat or dog in this house. (acceptable)

    You cannot use "and".
