She has done MBA

MBA is a degree in India (Masters in Business Education)
I overheard a woman talking about her daughter to someone . She said:
1 .)She has done MBA.
Is the use of 'done' correct in this sentence ?
Thank you

In American English, both would mean that she got the degree.
