The quotation comes from Jane Eyre Chapter 21

Quotation: I asked if Georgiana would accompany her (Eliza ).

“Of course not. Georgiana and she had nothing in common: they never had had. She would not be burdened with her society for any consideration. Georgiana should take her own course; and she, Eliza, would take hers.”

Context: Eliza and Georgiana were mutually incompatible.

Hi everyone! I don't quite understand the bold part. Does it mean "Eliza would not accept the burden of Georgiana's company for any reason" ?
