Hi,

The meaning of the below four sentences marked in bold parts is a little bit obscure to me. Can I get helps from anyone?

<< 1, 2 & 4 deleted by moderator. >>

3. Sheena, bemused by the interloper coming between her and the remains of dinner, padded over on paws big enough to wreak vengeance with a single swipe.

The above sentences are from quoted from dailymail website of UK.

Hi Gemforest ~ welcome to the forum:)
Pads are the soft 'leathery' parts on the underside of a cat's or dog's paw. Pad over here means 'walk over on the pads of [her] feet', i.e. quietly, softly.
