Hi all,

Could you tell me the difference, if any, in meaning/connotation between "She's got a perm" and "She had her hair permed"?

Thanks. :)

  • If you wanted to use the same tense, you would use "She got a perm" and "She had her hair permed" (PAST TENSE) OR "She's got a perm" and "She has her hair permed." (PRESENT TENSE)

The first sentence you gave is less formal than the other, but both are fine.
