Before you post a new thread, it's always good first to type in the word or phrase into the dictionary look-up at the top of the page. If you type "short" you'll find a long list of possibilities, including your phrase "short of": à moins de, à moins que, etc.

In this case, I'd suggest des recettes qui ne justifient pas leur promotion, à moins d'avoir une vraie bombe, ce qui affaiblit davantage l'argument...
