short of/on space

I don't know if I should use short of space or short on space in this following context.
I booked a cottage for 4 people but 6 are coming over to the cottage.
I'd like to say to my other two guests that we will short on/of space because there are only 2 double beds.

    I agree with "short on" but I think it would be more common in that situation to be more specific.

    "We don't have enough beds (for everyone to sleep in)."

    Short on "space" is a bit vague.
