Greetings! I was wondering what a native speaker would say in this situation: I had entered through the main door of a building and was walking upstairs when I saw a person walking downstairs with a huge box that they could barely see over. I knew it wouldn't be so easy for them to open the door, so I asked "Soll ich die Tür für Sie holen?" That was just the proto-brain quickly translating the normal English sentence for this situation, and I knew right away that couldn't be the usual sentence.
What would be the best sentence here? Soll ich die Tür für Sie öffnen/aufmachen? Or maybe another verb I haven't considered? Thanks in advance!
