"Showing a return"

I'm not sure about the meaning of the following sentence:

"I know it’s difficult to swallow the idea of pumping money into something that’s showing a return yet"

I mean, why it's difficult if something is showing return?

or should it be: "...into something that isn't showing return yet"

For further context, check out this source article (under the subtitle "4) Learn to delegate")
Thank you.
