How do you say 'My Love' in Sicilian, this would be pertaining to a child, the context would be a grandmother saying it to a granddaughter.

Thanks

Hi!! I don't speak Sicilian very well (and I can't wirte it!!), but I would say something like "figgia mia", which actually means "my daughter". In Italian we say "figlio mio" to someone, even if he's not our son! We mean "my darling".

There are quite a lot of sweet expressions in Sicilian, that you can address a child with. I don't think I'm writing them properly, but that will give you an idea:

    Dusci (dolce - sweet) it's pronounced doo-shee
Amuruzzu beddu (amoruccio bello - cute love) it's pronounced a-moo-roo-tsoo - bed - doo.

Ok, these are two examples, I'm sure someone can come up with others. :)

What about "picciridda", "picciridda mia"? Literally picciridda = piccolina.
I'm not from Sicily, but I'm pretty sure it's commonly used.

"Ti vogghiu bbeni ccu ttuttu u me cori"
Era stato preso in considerazione infinite, ma scartato, ti amo è ti amo, non ti voglio bene...
Per lo spelling però lascio a te carta bianca, mi è stato detto al telefono e probabilmente manca qualche "c" e "t" :)
