Hello everyone, I got an example sentence of sigh:

She sighed deeply and sat down.

But it also could work as an intransitive verb, so can I say:

Start working now is better than sigh over tempus fugit.

Thanks

Your sentence is unclear and not idiomatic. If I understand you correctly what you want to say is "Working (hard) now is better than sighing over 'tempus fugit' " which would be an ok sentence, but frankly I would say this a totally different way.

Yes, you understand me correctly. I want to express what you said, but would you like to share me your opinion?

    Thanks
