Sign on a table

What word would you use to indicate a sign, such as a paper sign, that you might place on a table so that invitees would know where to sit? Would that be "placard"? "pancarte"? "écriteau"?

    Très bien, merci!

Wait a minute, actually I just checked your links. What I'm looking forward is not a word for "placecard," which is where one person sits, but a word for one sign that would say the name of the group that is meeting, for example. So, this would be a sign somewhat bigger than a placecard.

Sorry ! Then the word "pancarte" you mentioned would be right. I have seen it used on several forums where people discuss the table arrangements for their wedding. "Petite pancarte" is also possible.
