Should igual be plural or singular in this sentence?

Equivalent fractions are equal to each other.
Las fracciones equivalentes son iguales unas a otras.

    Your translation is OK. In this case a singular (igual) would sound bad. But I wouldn't rule out that some native speakers say it in singular.
