    I'm trying to translate the following English sentence to GOOD Italian:

    " Mine was called Fantasia and in the summer used to sit on the top step of the swimming pool up to her belly in water cooling off."

    My attempt is as follows:

    "Il mio cane nome, Fantasia, in l'estate abituarsi sedere sulla scala superiore della piscina lei pancia in aqua rinfrescarsi."


    Sorry that's the best I could do.

    You might say:

    "Il mio (cane) si chiamava Fantasia e d'estate aveva l'abitudine di sedersi sul gradino più alto della piscina, immerso nell'acqua fino alla pancia per rinfrescarsi".
