Ok, and here's another idiomatic expression to describe expansive job growth. Of course 'to sizzle' is the sound meat makes in a hot fry pan. Is there an accurate way of conveying the same idea in French?

I am afraid we won't have such a metaphor in French. I would suggest 'la remarquable / l'extraordinaire croissance de l'emploi.'
