Hello everybody!

need some help.

Context: a girl who is getting ready for a new day at work, just wakes up after a night sleep and still suffers from jet-lag. I am having some trouble in understanding the meaning of "feeling slightly speedy" as follows:

"Despite my nerves, I was still tired. My laptop case felt heavier than normal and seemed to weigh down my right shoulder, the combination of fatigue and jitters leaving me feeling slightly speedy".

My attempt: Nonostante il nervosismo, mi sentivo ancora stanca. ??

Anyone who could help?

Grazie 1000

    Ciao!

    Hello KriSss76,

It could be she is saying she feels as if she is either under the influence of "speed" (amphetamines) or experiencing a feeling as if coming down from them.
