Hello everybody,

I'm wondering if I can say this:

"A gust of wind rushes out of the mansion through the slit of the door" ?

The door is of course closed.

Thank you!

The things all around a door. When you see light all around a closed door in the dark you know, like in horror movies for example?

The doors I have use a molding on the door frame to eliminate gaps so that wind and light and snow don't come through -- so slit doesn't leap to mind.

I know the expression 'the crack under the door'. You might like to do an online search for the phrase to see it in use.
