Slovenian: rodu naj

rodú naj naš'ga treši gróm;

This phrase is of "Zdravljica".
Now I try to understand each phrase of this poem in Slovene.
How should I understand "rodu" & "naj"?
I checked the translation of this poem in English, German, Italian, etc.
However, none of them helped me well.

rodu is genitive of rod, which means nation here, naj means let.
Let thunder from the clouds of our nation strike the enemies.
