Hello,

Is there different meaning between "slowly" and "gradually" in the following sentences:

1. "I'm giving up slowly." or "I'm giving up gradually."

2. "You need to quit smoking slowly." or "You need to quit smoking gradually."

    They both mean the same thing in these sentences. "Slowly" isn't always a synonym for "gradually", but it is in these examples.
